We are so very excited to have been asked by the lovely Natalie Holtsbaum, jewellery design extraordinaire & Jo H Cook, “seems everything I do revolves around food”, you can follow her here, to be part of a very exciting creative project which is currently in the making and nearing lift off – Quite Literally!
a rooftop market curated by Kirsha Kaechele
MoMa is:
A market held on the roof of Mona every Saturday afternoon, 1.30pm – 6.30pm, from January 21 – April 14.
MoMa is a produce-based market, with a dash of craft and other bizarre bits, incorporating growers & makers from the Derwent Valley, greater Hobart area and beyond.
MoMa is the meeting of food and art, incorporating elements of the unexpected.
We believe in locally grown, organic, sustainable produce (but we do love posh, smelly, French cheese too).
We bring together the best well known and hidden gem producers, fresh produce to take home, awesome food to eat on site, workshops, art installations, opportunities to be a good environmentalist and anything else we find inspiring.
Along with other Makers, THE CRAFT HIVE accepted an invitation to work with NY guest artist Daphane Park to participate in collectively ‘crafting/making/creating’ one of the many tail’s which collectively will fly in the wind as the feathery tail of the creature. Each length will be a unique expression of its maker.
The,
‘Minnie Mouse Gangster Feathered Serpent Diamond Grill Tent’ will house the Mona Market (MoMA)
