& NOW the LANUCH of HAND MADE HOME
The gorgeous Catherine Silcock messaged me if I had thought about how to get our hand made loveliness to the folks effected by the #tassiebushfires & how ’bout we offer other hand made home craft goodness to fill the newly developing houses with HOME
Catherine had a GREAT idea & HERE it is:
Makers, it’s your turn! Welcome
Here at Hand Made Home we invite all makers who wish to support people affected by the recent Tasmanian bush fires.
We’ve all seen pictures of inconceivable destruction and heard the news that many people have lost absolutely everything. Of course ‘everything’ means houses, cars, whitegoods…and ‘everything’ includes the personal, the beautiful and the treasured.
With these very personal losses in mind, we are calling for toys/ home items that are new, special, one-off and hand made with love and care. In time, we want to FILL a space with hand made wonder so that these same people who have lost so much may CHOOSE something special to keep.
Toymakers, knitters, crafters, workers of wood and metal, quilters, weavers, sculptors, smiths of any nature, makers of all kinds, if YOU would like to contribute, if this is your way of caring, we’d like to hear from you.
Please contact us if you want to make a gift for a child to cherish or a gift to help make a new house a home… a handmade gift that really means something.
Love,
Catherine
